David Muir, an American journalist, anchoring the ABC News magazine 20 is known best for his role as co-anchor on World News Tonight With David Muir. One of the most watched newscasts in America is his newscast featuring dramatic footage and animated movements. Made In America is his Emmy award-winning show. Prior to the appointment of anchor of ABC World News Tonight Sawyer was his primary successor. In recent years he's covered a variety of ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. He has covered news around the world, including Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti. He was awarded numerous Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards, in addition to distinctions from The Associated Press.
