Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford has been an American actor, dancer and singer since the early 1990s. Her initial roles on Broadway include in the Musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You, she won the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh, Tony Award-winning actress and director, has spent the majority of her professional career working with prominent directors and actors on screen and in television. Ashford in the near future will play opposite Kumail Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive series Welcome to Chippendales which premieres on November 22nd. Ashford is in the production of Searchlight Pictures' terror thriller Dust with Sarah Paulson. It's also available as an Hulu Original on Disney DTC. Ashford's Broadway return will take place in March 2023 when he stars opposite Josh Groban for the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre revival of Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The group behind Hamilton director Jeffrey Seller and director Thomas Kail will be at the control of the show. Ashford was last seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the National Crisis, which saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp at the center of the country's First Impeachment Proceedings during the Over 100 Years. In two seasons, Ashford played a prominent role in the hit show on CBS called B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the originating part of Lauren In Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway credits. Ashford is a Denver resident who splits his time between Los Angeles.
