Jennifer Lopez was born in 1969 to a family with Puerto Rican descent. Lopez was a dancer throughout her childhood. Her acting debut at the age of 16 in an appearance on the show My Little Girl, 1986. Television came into her life in 1991 when she became an actress on In Living Color. Lopez assumed the starring role in the procedural about law enforcement Shades of Blue (2016-18) in which she played a conflicted police officer.
